Thursday 4th September      Easy                         3 miles             1 ˝ hours

Special Event:  Be entertained by the Mendip Morris Men. A climb up Hellenge Hill to admire the views then returning, all limbered up, to be entertained by the Mendip Morris men at the Queens Arms.

Sunday 7th September          Easy                     7 miles             4 hours

Short First:  Avon Gorge. Leigh Woods, Paradise Bottom, Abbots Pool, Ashton Court. Steep stony path climb to start (alternate route available from leader).  Fairly level woodland trails and metalled paths/lanes.  Lunch stop.  Finish with tea and cakes or ice cream.

This stage covers part of the Exmoor National Park. Continuing on from Luxborough, across the Brendons and into the Exmoor National Park.

Sunday 14th September.        Moderate/Flat.  13 ˝ miles    7 hrs

Distance to the Walk: 56 miles and approx 1 hour travel from Worle

The Source of the Thames.  A fairly level walk through pretty Cotswold villages. See the official source of the River Thames. Walk along the Thames and Severn canal to the Sapperton tunnel. Pub stop for lunch. Meet: 09:30 at Tarlton. Grid Reference ST 959994.  M4 to Jct 18. North on A46 then A433 through Tetbury towards Cirencester. Take first turning left for Tarlton (after Rodmarton sign). This is a very narrow lane. At Tarlton look for water tower and park.  Parking is extremely tight so please car share as much as possible. Alternative walk:  Wotton-under-edge. Enjoy a Cotswold kaleidoscope of combes, woodland, undulating hills and honey coloured hamlets.  Possible pub stop. No dogs allowed.

Mid Week Walk:  Winscombe and surrounding hills. An easy pace; please bring a picnic lunch.  Dogs allowed under control.
