views then returning, all limbered up, to be entertained by the Mendip

Gorge. Leigh Woods, Paradise Bottom, Abbots Pool, Ashton Court.
Steep stony path climb to start (alternate route available from leader). Fairly level woodland trails and metalled paths/lanes.
Lunch stop. Finish with tea and cakes or ice cream. Meet: 10:00 at Ashton Court House. (Air balloon Gate).

to the Walk: 56 miles and approx 1 hour travel from Worle The
Source of the Thames. A
fairly level walk through pretty Cotswold villages. See the official
source of the River Thames. Walk along the Thames and Severn canal to
the Sapperton tunnel. Pub stop for lunch. Meet:
09:30 at Tarlton. Grid Reference ST 959994.
M4 to Jct 18. North on A46 then A433 through Tetbury towards
Cirencester. Take first turning left for Tarlton (after Rodmarton sign).
This is a very narrow lane. At Tarlton look for water tower and park.
Parking is extremely tight so please car share as much as possible.
