Sunday 6th July.                          Easy                5½ miles

Short First:- Bridgwater and Taunton Canal side and Country lanes – Watching the boats and maybe wildlife  Also watching for the stars Mars Venus etc.!! Quiet country lanes and finish at the lockside café.  Dogs allowed under control.

Meet:  10.00 Lower Maunsel Lock near North Newton turning from North Petherton, sign posted ‘Car park, Canal’  Grid Ref: 308303

Meet:  09:00 The Boat and Anchor Pub. Canal side car park off Jct 23 M5. Transport will be at the end of the walk for transfer back to the cars.

Sunday 13th July               Moderate/Hard         12/13 miles      6 hours plus

Monmouth, The Kymin and Symonds Yat – Woodland and riverside walk, using the Offa’s Dyke Path, the Wysis Way and the Wye Valley Walk. No dogs allowed.

Meet: 10:00 Monmouth Leisure Centre car park (the smaller car park on the right.  If coming to Monmouth via A40, turn left at Monmouth Bridge, or if coming via the Tintern road cross the Monmouth Bridge and go straight over the A40. Then at next T-junction turn right (signposted Town Centre) and follow signs for the Leisure Centre.  Explorer map OL14  Grid Ref: 512131

Mid Week Walk: Winscombe and surrounding hills. An easy pace; please bring a picnic lunch.  Dogs allowed under control.

Sunday 20th July         Moderate/hard             11 miles            5 hours.

Holne Moor and Ryders Hill, Dartmoor – Moorland and remote ridge walk.  Lower paths, lanes and bridleways.  Lots of wild flowers.

Due to the distance and difficulty in finding the start please inform the Leader and car share as much as possible.

Evening walk: -Axbridge.

A short walk round the Reservoir and surrounding countryside then back to the Lamb for a drink and something to eat if you wish.

Chew Magna, Dundry, edge of Winford.  A bit hilly but rewarded by splendid views around Dundry
