Wednesday 1st April.             Moderate              8 miles            

Mid Week Walk. Fishponds – A Frome Valley walk. A hidden countryside/river walk with some surprises. Picnic.

Meet: 10.30am. Oldbury Court car park.  Route: on entering Fishponds look for William Hill (bookmaker).  On the left, turn sharp left, follow road down to Oldbury Court car park, Exp.155 Grid Ref: ST 634765.  Post Code BS26 2JN.

Sunday 5th April      Easy pace walk with short hills             6 miles.

Short First: Dolebury Warren Limestone Link, Blackdown, Tynings Farm and back to the Swan.  Dogs allowed under control

Sunday 5th April. –Easy undulating   11 miles               6 hours

Alternative walk Around Ash Priors

A delightful scenic walk following some little used footpaths. Some difficult stiles. Coffee and lunch stops. No dogs allowed.

Meet:-10:00 at the first car park on the edge of Ash Priors Common. Parking also 300 yds further on but spaces are limited  Explorer.140 Grid Ref: ST157289. (near Bishops Lydeard)

Sunday 12th April.        Moderate hilly walk    10 miles   8 hours plus stops.

Waterfall Extravaganza. The classic South Wales waterfall walk including 8 waterfalls..

Meet:-08:00 at Homebase car park car park for sharing otherwise Meet at the Angel Inn Pontneddfechan in the Brecon Beacons. Explorer 012 (Brecon Beacons). Grid Ref: SN900 075.

Walk starts at 10:00.  No dogs.

Wednesday 15th April.      Easy/moderate.       5-6 miles.           3-4 hours

Mid Week Walk: Winscombe and surrounding hills. An easy pace; please bring a picnic lunch.  Dogs allowed under control.
Meet:-11:30 Car park behind the Woodborough Inn, Winscombe.

Meet:-On Saturday at 08:30 at Tynings Farm for an 08:45 transfer by mini bus to Wells for the 1st leg of the walk. Explorer. 141 Grid Ref: ST470 565

On Sunday at 08:30 at Uphill Boat yard for a prompt transfer by mini bus to Tynings Farm for start of 2nd leg.

Coffee stops and Picnic lunch.  No dogs allowed.

Sunday 19th April.   Easy walking with low or short hills.   7½ miles     5 Hrs

Alternative walk Lacock to Derry Hill (Wiltshire) Circular walk.

A walk through fields, alongside River Avon with views of Lacock Abbey. Onto Derry Hill for lunch (pub if required). Return to Lacock along disused Wilts and Berks canal, passing partly restored Pewsham locks. Time for a walk round Lacock and tea rooms at end of walk.

Wednesday 22nd April.

Social Event: Roy’s Quiz Evening at the Railway Inn, Sandford – Optional supper available from 7 p.m.  Quiz starts at 8 p.m. Everyone welcome for an evening of fun with our Quiz Master, Roy.  50p quiz entry fee, payable on the evening.

Sunday 26th April.      Moderate.        7 and 14 miles.

Special Event:-Joint Woodspring and Clevedon Ramblers Coach Trip to Weymouth

The walks will consist of a short, easy to moderate circular walk about 7 miles around Abbotsbury to include part of the coast path and a long moderate linear walk of 12 to14 miles to Weymouth with a possible pub stop. For the short walk there will be time to wander round in Weymouth before the coach leaves at 5pm.  Arrive back at Worle approx. 7pm

Meet:-The coach will pick up at Worle bus stop by Homebase at 08:00 and Clevedon at 08:15 Coach tickets £10 each must be pre-booked. For a booking form email woodspring.ramblers@tesco.net as soon as possible as this trip is expected to be heavily subscribed. Leaders:-Robin for the long walk and June and Pat for the short walk.
