Sunday 7th October      Easy (with one climb) 6 to 7 miles           4 hours

Short First:  Dunster , Alcombe Common, Wooton Common and Hopcott Common.

A climb to start with but worth it for the views throughout the walk.  Possible cream tea at the end of the walk

Saturday 13th October   3 Miles

A Countryside Adventures for Children and Parents or Legs Explore Walk

Children to be accompanied by parents, grandparents, aunties or uncles,

Cadbury Hill and Kings Wood

The walk visits Cadbury Hill Fort, an Iron Age fort with a Victorian Circle; and the ancient woodland of Kings Wood, with its tracks and view of old ochre mine workings.

Sunday 14th October    Moderate           10.5 Miles         6 hours            

Area of walk – Edge of the Polden Hills.

Compton Dundon ,Butleigh, Hood Monument and Collard hill.

Directions:  M5 to J23. A39 towards Glastonbury.  Just after Ashcott turn right at signpost to Somerton. Car park in 2.5 miles at Compton Dundon.

No dogs allowed.

Mid-week Walk. Easy to moderate. About 6 miles. 3 to 4 hours.
Winscombe and surrounding hills. An easy pace; please bring a picnic lunch.  Dogs allowed under control.

Thurlbear Woods down to Castle Neroche circular walk

Mostly woodland, fields and some quiet lanes

Sunday 28th October                Hard     14 miles            7 hours

First Leg of the ‘Butcombe Trail’        

A short walk from the start, via Prospect Stile (steep ascent), to arrive at the ‘Ring o’ Bells, Hinton Blewitt late morning. Then across the Mendip Plateau via Stock Hill Forest to finish at the ‘Queen Victoria’ in Priddy.  Bring lunch
