Short First: Sunday 6th May Bank Holiday Weekend    

Moderate Choice of 5½, 6 or 11½ miles

A figure of Eight from Chew Magna.  Choose a morning short walk with one long climb or an afternoon short walk to include a visit to Stanton Drew stone circles.  Or do both walks.

No dogs allowed.

Sandford evening walks.

A pleasant and friendly walk around the Sandford, Winscombe and Churchill countryside on alternate Wednesday evenings through the summer. Finish before dark, with a refreshing drink and a supper snack at the Railway Inn, if you wish.

Meet 6.45 Sandford Railway Inn car park 419597.

Joint Woodspring/Thornbury walk – Marshfield and St Catherine’s Valley.

A stunning walk with several hills exploring the beautiful South Cotswold Combes.  Glorious stone houses including two manor houses.  No dogs allowed.

Meet:  10:30.  Disused slip road/lay-by on the edge of Marshfield just off the A420. OS map 155 Grid Ref: 771738

Wednesday 16th May  Mid-week walk. 

Easy/Moderate            5 Miles   3½ Hours.

Winscombe and Wavering Down – One climb.  Bring a picnic lunch.

Sunday 27th May – Bank Holiday Sunday Moderate plus 11 miles 6 ½ hrs County Gate, South West Coast Path westward - The Foreland - Countisbury-Watersmeet - East Lynn River- Brenden - County Gate – Another chance to hopefully experience the contrast of the Coastal path with stunning Rhododendrons, the bracing Foreland and serene walk along the East Lynn River.  Lunch at a Pub and Tea at Watersmeet NT if you wish.

Dogs allowed under control.

Meet:  10:00 County Gate car park 6 miles west of Porlock on A39.
