WALKS in JUNE 2007

Sunday 3rd  June.     Easy/Moderate 6¼  miles

Short First :- Burrington Combe, Blackdown, Tynings Farm, Rowberrow, Burrington Combe  - A varied walk including some of the best of our local scenery and possibly introducing you to some new paths (they were new to us anyway).  A few steady climbs taken at your own

pace. Dogs allowed under control.

Meet:  10:00  Burrington Combe lower car park (near toilets)

Sunday 10th June.    Moderate and Hard       71/2 miles and 13 miles.

Coach Trip to Torquay for South West Coast Path walks. (combined Woodspring and Clevedon Ramblers)

13 miles  (moderate to hard)  Shaldon to Torquay. Following the  South West coast path.

71/2 miles (Moderate)  Watcombe to Torquay, joining the coast path near Watcombe with time to spare in Torquay.  Alternatively you may wish to come along for the ride spend a day in Torquay.

Meeting times and places: 08:00 Clevedon Bottle Bank and car park. 

08:15 Worle Homebase at the Bristol road bus stop. 

Expect to return by 19:00 (7pm).    Cost £8 per person.

No dogs allowed on either walk.

Doone Valley to Brendon Common - Shilston Hill - Rockford – for a possible Pub stop – Brendon and return to County Gate.

Redhill – Nempnett Thrubwell – Chewstoke – Butcombe

Moderate ramble over undulating countryside with no hard climbs.  Coffee and Lunch included in the time. No dogs allowed. Meet:  10:00 Redhill Church.  Road parking only.   Grid Ref: 496632
