Flax Bourton and Backwell.  An undulating walk through woods and fields, at a relaxed pace and with time for a picnic lunch.

Cheddar, Kings Wood and Wavering Down – A fairly hard morning walk with two long steep ascents.  Good views (weather permitting); plenty of mud. Just one coffee stop.  Please note the early start.      No dogs.

Ebbor Gorge, Pen Hill, Biddle Combe, Wells, and Wookey Hole

Up through Ebbor Gorge and along the southern scarp of the Mendips, past Pen Hill mast, down the Combe into Wells city; return to Ebbor.

East Harptree - East Harptree woods, Litton and Litton Reservoir.

Meet:  10.00 at East Harptree Wood Forestry Commission Car Park

Directions: B3134. Take 2nd left to East Harptree.  Opposite Castle of Comfort Inn. No dogs allowed.

Sunday 29th April.    Moderate.   12 miles.   6 hours.

Gordano Valley and Tickenham/Cadbury Camp – Figure of 8 walk from Black Horse Pub, Clapton in Gordano.  6 miles in the morning via Weston Big Wood and new Gordano Valley Nature Reserve.  6 miles in the afternoon via woods (hopefully Bluebells out) to Tickenham Church and return via Cadbury Camp. 2 climbs morning and afternoon. Pub lunch or picnic possible.   Dogs allowed under control.
