parking area north-west of Wootton Fitzpaine. The best way
to reach it is from the B3165. About 3 miles from the A35, and
about 1 mile west of the Bottle Inn Marshwood
come to a crossroads between Welcome to Devon
and Welcome to Dorset road signs. Turn
down the side lane between white gates. After about 0.75 mile,
stay on the Wootton Fitzpaine
road, ignore a track to Dodpen Farm
and take the next right fork which is a bridleway. It is a dry
stony track, which opens out to a parking area. Warning: it
is unmarked on the map and not the forest CP you may see signs
for. |
