Sunday  9 August :  we are having a change this year and the evening barbeque will be held on Brean Down Beach.  You are asked to bring your own food, for cooking, and drink;  rolls, sauces, cutlery and picnic plates will be provided.  If you park on the beach, the charge is £1;  donations of 50p will be welcome to meet the overhead costs.

August Bank Holiday weekend – 29th to the 31st August – Mendip are again holding their Walks Festival.  Each day there is a choice of three walks with tea and cake offered after each walk.  The walks on Saturday 29th and Monday 31st are included in this programme;  we will meet as usual at SHCP to arrange car sharing to the start of the walks at Oakhill.

Our joint coach outing with Woodspring is to be on Sunday 13 September and we have two walks;  the long one will be our Malmsmead and Watersmeet walk (13 miles) and the short one will be on Two Moors Way from Brendon Two Bridges (7 miles) – both walks ending in Lynmouth.   The cost per head is £11 and a Booking Form is included with this programme.

Saturday 31 October  is Halloween so we look forward to everyone wearing the appropriate costume for our local walk.  After the short, late afternoon walk we will have an early supper at a local pub.  Please let me know if you are taking part, so that the supper arrangements can be made.

Saturday the 14th November  is the date of our AGM – there will be a local walk in the morning and tea/coffee/fruit juice will be provided in the hall for you to enjoy with your picnic lunch.  Full details will be issued in October.
